Organic Castor Oil for Silky Healthy Hair

It might seem a little old school, but using Castor Oil has some wonderful cosmetic benefits! I recently had the opportunity to try Deluxe Botanicals Castor Oil. The product is free of chemicals and 100% Organic. Oh, how I love Organic products!

Castor Oil can be used for hair and skin. Personally, I used it on my hair. My hair is always dry and frizzy. I always have to use some sort of anti-frizz serum to calm my crazy frizziness. So, since this is a constant struggle for me, I was happy to add this product to my hair care routine. It is very easy to use. I will wash my hair, then, using the dropper, apply 3-4 drops into my hands and massage into my hair. It says to leave on for about 6 minutes, but I leave it on for 10 minutes. Then, I simply rinse my hair very well. I use this instead of using a conditioner, about once a week. My hair feels better than ever! Definitely healthier, silkier and less frizzy! My hair may even grow faster using this too! In addition to helping with the condition of your hair, Castor Oil has also been known to help with thinning hair too!

Maybe skin conditions are more of an issue for you. For skin use it says to apply a few drops onto a cotton ball, then put on affected area. Leave live it on for a hour, then wash off. This might be really good for those who suffer from badly dry skin in the winter. My hands will sometimes get so dry in the winter that they will crack and bleed. If they do that this coming winter, I will be trying this! What really surprised me about this product is that is can help with wrinkles! I never knew that, but upon talking to my mother, she said that is what previous generations of woman used for better looking skin as they aged. Who knew?!? To use as an anti-wrinkle serum, just apply a drop onto your finger and then dab around eyes, forehead, laugh lines, or anywhere that are trouble areas for you. Do this daily, letting it adsorb into your skin and no need to rinse off.

You can walk through the skin and hair care isles at any store and easily spend a ton of money on a variety of products. If you do not have a lot of money to spend, or are like me, and just hate paying big sticker prices for anything, I suggest you look into this. It is very affordable and you might be happily surprised at how well it works!

A big thank you to the Deluxe Botanicals Company for allowing me to try their product complementary, in exchange for my honest review!

  4. I've heard of castor oil, but for uses during pregnancy, especially toward the end. I didn't use it, but have read many stories of women using it. Of course, it is best to consult your doctor for use with anything during pregnancy.

  7. My friend told me to do this on my hair because it is dry and frizzy and it's basically a white girl afro, to be honest. I must have used it wrong because it went from dry and frizzy to an oil mess and I hardly used any on my hair. Like smaller than a dime size and yeah- nightmare. I'm beauty challenged so let's be honest, it was probably me. LOL
